Based on a true story, Svetlana’s Journey is Michael Cory
Davis’s directorial debut. It is about stolen innocence,
taking a gruesome look into the life of a 13-year-old
Bulgarian girl sold into prostitution by her adopted
parents. Tortured, manipulated, and abused by the “pimp
couple” that kept her, she does the unthinkable to escape
from the evil that entered her life.

Director Michael Cory Davis
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Michael Cory Davis began
performing at the age of 9. He later moved to Los Angeles to
pursue a career as a writer, director, and actor, leading
him to act in two features being shot in Bulgaria for the
Sci-Fi Channel. It was here that he first learned about the
growing number of girls and women from the Balkans that were
forcibly taken and sold into prostitution. This discovery
led him to write and direct ‘Svetlana’s Journey’ in order to
raise awareness about human trafficking. He currently owns
Triple Threat Entertainment, a company that is actively
involved in film and television production.
