'Cube 1963' follows employees of two competing cultural institutions in
Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina as they contest for their right to
“the Cube” - an exhibition space designed to house the
“Museum of the Revolution” in socialist times. As the
film’s social actors lay out their claims, deeper ideological
divisions become evident. A series of opposing arguments of what
“the Cube” should become turns into an exchange on
collective memory, art, history, and the prospects of
Bosnia-Herzegovina as a state.
