‘Cargo: Innocence Lost’ is the newest work from Michael
Cory Davis, continuing on his push to raise awareness to the
human-trafficking crisis. Consisting of many compelling interviews with
some of the country’s top officials on the subject,
victims’ advocates, and the victims themselves, Davis pieces
together a film that explores the ever-growing problem of
sex-trafficking throughout the world and asks the question: Why does
this crime remain very shrouded in our nation?
Director Michael Cory Davis
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Michael Cory Davis began performing at the
age of 9. He later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a writer,
director, and actor, leading him to act in two features being shot in
Bulgaria for the Sci-Fi Channel. It was here that he first learned
about the growing number of girls and women from the Balkans that were
forcibly taken and sold into prostitution. This discovery led him to
write and direct ‘Svetlana’s Journey’ in order to
raise awareness about human trafficking. He currently owns Triple
Threat Entertainment, a company that is actively involved in film and
television production.
