Synopsis:
Claudia Fenz, an international UN judge appointed to Kosovo,
tries to get to the bottom of what happened in a brutal
case: six Kosovo-Albanian men are accused of stoning a
Serbian and his elderly mother to death. Judge Fenz
discovers a world of parallel justice, where village
“judges” deliberate over disputes according to the laws of a
600-year old tradition. The film follows the court
proceedings up to the last session in which the verdicts are
announced, revealing how cultural differences complicate
attempts to deliver justice in today’s multicultural
Balkans.
